Welcome to the new Supernormal for Google Meet - you'll never have to take notes again. Today we launch a fully autonomous note taker for all your Google Meet conversations. Every meeting you take will come with a complete transcript and notes written by the Supernormal AI.

If you have a meeting that you do not want to take notes - no problem! When you hover over the button, you'll also see a Stop button which will deactivate Supernormal for that meeting.
Supernormal AI delivers a summary of the meeting in bullet form. Over the next few weeks we'll be supplementing your notes with more advanced sections including Action Items and Decisions.

Supernormal automatically transcribes your video calls on Google Meet. Starting today, these transcripts now come with speaker labels which are incredibly helpful. It is now even easier to browse through the transcript and find specific parts by speaker. This is the first feature in a long line of improvements that we are making to your transcripts.

Supernormal has an all new Async mode that helps you show your work with context. Easily record your screen, get contextual feedback and make decisions together. Sending quick video messages has never been easier - and works great for internal communications and client facing roles.
When we set out to build Supernormal Async, we set high goals of being able to play any recording in under a second with a transcript. We've made this a reality for your short and long videos. You are no longer limited to 5 minute recordings and you don't have to wait 30 minutes for a transcript. The moment you stop your recording, it is available to share and watch.
Your supernormal workspace captures all your meetings, and now all your async demos, product updates, feedback videos and more. Easily search to find key moments in your conversations and loop in teammates in a better way.
Async video messages are an essential communication tool for remote and hybrid workplaces. Teams across timezones thrive when they have context, open communication, and the ability to consume and provide feedback on their own time. We've seen a 18% meeting reduction in the top teams that have adopted async videos into their core work experience.
Not the host? Not a problem! Often we are in client calls where someone else is the host of the meeting. We still want collaborative notes, transcript and full recording to share after the meeting. Supernormal now works even if you aren't the host. Starting today, record as an attendee in any of your calls on Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet and more with Supernormal for Mac.
Recording your screen and cam with the Supernormal Chrome Extension. Perfect for sending quick video messages, async updates, thoughts and ideas.
Your recordings are instantly available and ready to share.
Google Calendar is now fully integrated into Supernormal. See what meetings you have coming up and one click join.
You can now easily get the embed html for your recording. Simply click on the ... next to the share button on your post page and click Copy embed code.
If you want to embed in tools like Notion and need an embed url instead of the code, simply take the link from the embed code "src" and you're good to go!
You can now invite your Slack teammates when creating or updating a group if you've connected with Slack. Curious how to connect? Check out this handy guide for details. Search for teammates by name, or add them via email. You'll be notified when they join your group.
Remember that time you ran an hour long meeting and forgot to record your participants' audio in Google Meet? Yeah. Us too. Luckily, Supernormal now automatically detects when you're wearing headphones and toggles recording your participants' audio automatically.
Sharing notes to call attendees has never been easier. At the end of your Google Meet or Zoom call, one click share your notes with the call participants before you jump into your next meeting.
Improved sharing is now available for any Google Meet that is on your calendar. To get started, download the Supernormal chrome extension and join a Google Meet.
One of our favorite video call providers is Whereby. Entirely web based, Whereby doesn't require downloads and has removed all the friction to holding a meeting. Having the same video link to share for each meeting and having more than 16 people in one call is awesome. Today we're excited to launch our integration with Whereby and support video notes for every Whereby, whether it is 1:1 or an all-hands with 100+ people.
Next time you are in a Whereby room, tap on the Supernormal chrome extension to start capturing your meeting and your video notes. As always, your notes are instantly shareable the moment you leave the room.
Every video on Supernormal comes with a complete transcript, making any moment and any highlight instantly searchable. You and your team's videos are now fully indexed and searchable.
Find that phrase, keyword, or conversation easily. It's super fast to find exactly that moment in your 30 minute call from a week ago. Real super powers for people who like to get things done!
With the calendar integration, Supernormal makes it that much easier to take notes and share to meeting attendees with one click after the call. The after call experience is now even more seamless.
No more digging up meeting participant emails or lists of attendees. Your meeting recordings will automatically suggest which people to send the notes to after the call.
We're in the habit now of watching video notes and we'd like to change notes to reflect exactly what happened in the video at any given moment. Today, you can click on the ✏️ next to any note and edit it quickly before sharing with your teammates.
Supernormal notes are perfect placeholders that give you just enough information to recall what happened in the meeting. A quick edit before you share can go a long way to loop in teammates who might have missed the meeting.
Sometimes we forget to click on a highlight button during our meetings and would really like to add a note after the call is over. On your own recordings, you can click on any part of the transcript to add a note at that moment in the video. You can also freely add notes after a call that don't have a specific moment in the recording but are general summary points. And with the new copy notes feature, sharing your notes into your task systems and other tools has never been easier.
Since launching 1.0, we've seen a huge surge in average video length. The average supernormal is now longer than 30 minutes and has 4-8 highlights. With some speedy research and conversations with our awesome community - we're improving the highlight and note taking experience. Today, we're launching a special recording experience for Google Meet.
Run your meeting, we'll take the notes. When you join a Google Meet and start your Supernormal chrome extension, you'll see a new Notes panel. This notes panel comes with a few highlight buttons, Action Item, Insight, and Bookmark. Whenever an important moment happens in your call, just click on a highlight button to add it to your notes. You can either add text to the note or let Supernormal fill in the note with what was just said in the meeting.
The moment your call is done, the full recording, video notes and summary are instantly available.
Our holidays were busy trying to get our new headphones to work with all our video meeting experiences. In the engineering world, we call it System Audio. Supernormal can now reliably capture the audio coming out of your speakers or headphones. We are also rolling out improved external device support that includes:
Happy recording!
Dear Supernormal Community,
Since launching our Beta a few months ago, we've seen 1000s of teams, including Google, Spotify, Forbes and Nets use Supernormal to transform their remote and hybrid communications. Supernormal has become an essential tool for capturing and sharing knowledge. from calls on Zoom, Google Meet, Webex, Teams and Slack.
Teams use Supernormal for screen recordings, capturing their meetings and sharing key moments for continued discussion and context. They're capturing structured data from the black hole of video calls and teammates are able to skip FYI meetings entirely, catching up on their own time.
Today we're thrilled to announce Supernormal 1.0.

Zoom, Google Meet, Teams. You name it - we're integrated. It is a dream that our teams or entire organization would only use one video meeting tool - but in reality we end up using several each and every day. Supernormal is committed to helping you capture and highlight moments from whatever tool you use and we're thrilled to cover them all.
Compress an hour long meeting into 4 minutes of watchable goodness.
Supernormal easily embeds into all the places you do your work. Your workflows don't change - they just get much more juicy with full context and rich discussions. Notion, Asana, Gmail, Slack, and 20 more are integrated with new integrations every day.
Gone are the days of 5 minute limits. Record as long as you want and one click capture highlights. The moment your recording is done, it is instantly shareable and viewable.
We started out a year ago with a small group of users. Today, we've grown to over 5000 companies and are just getting started. About 6 months ago we realized the true potential of helping people not just screen record, but unlock the value of information that is in our daily meetings. We're on a path to create the perfect after-call experience where you no longer have to take notes. Don't take our word for it - check out what Executives like Uri has to say:
Gartner states that 75% of work calls will be captured by 2025 - and we think it will be a lot sooner than that! So much of our work product is buried in video calls. Capturing and sharing the best moments from discussions builds inclusivity, understanding, and a corporate mindshare that is always ready for replay.
We're growing at a crazy pace and are thrilled to add amazing people to our mission of perfecting the post meeting experience. If you or a friend you know would like to come build with us - we are hiring for engineering, design, sales and marketing. We're fully remote with hubs in Stockholm, Sweden and New York City. We're proud to have teammates on three continents and live / breath our async first, video first culture.
Groups and individual videos now have controls for whether people have to be signed in to watch or rewatch :) a video. When public sharing is disabled, only members of a group and anyone the video creator invites will be allowed to access the video by URL.
Keeping information to your team is often needed in a larger workspace. Supernormal now has private groups that are invite only.
A friend of ours on the Google Design Team has been using Supernormal for design reviews. But he needed the ability to pause the video and add a comment at any point and draw on the screen to highlight and leave rich feedback. Well, Chris, today is your lucky day. Screen annotations are now live on Supernormal.
Sometimes text is just not going to deliver the message. We all know that typing is often a lot slower than just recording a quick video message. Starting today, just tap on the video reply button and drop your thoughts in front of the camera.
Key moments in video notes or recordings need follow up and further discussion. Now you can leave a comment at any point in a video.
1x, 1.2x, 1.5x, 1.7x and our favorite - plaid 2x. Honestly, I don't think we needed 2x in there, but you never know how slow someone might communicate! In a further effort to support faster consumption of important information, we are thrilled to offer faster playback. Get to those juicy parts faster! And to those of you who ramble like I do, ramble freely! Just know that you may end up on 1.5x more often.
One of our most requested features from sales teams and customer facing roles, today we roll out the ability to share directly to an email from inside the Supernormal post. Record your video messages and video notes and send them off to the right inboxes.
If the tree falls and no one is there, does it make a sound? Well, it turns out it does make a sound if you then pass that sound off to a notification channel that your colleagues are glued to. As of today, you can hook up a group to a Slack channel and automatically post any new content from a group directly into Slack. Tree sound problem solved.
Collect, organize and share recordings with teammates. Perfect for training videos, team collaboration and when you just need to put all your daily standup videos in one place.
It's ok, sh** happens. We've got your back in keeping it classy since 2019. We'll be filtering out any naughty words that might slip when the cat walks across the keyboard or the coffee ends up on your shirt. You be you, we'll help you shine clean.
Sometimes the AI just doesn’t get it right. You said tomato, and the AI heard tomatoe. As of today you can tap on any sentence or word in your transcript and correct the machine.
Tools are much more powerful when you can easily bring your team with you. As of today, you can sign into Supernormal with the tools that you already use. And when you do, we'll make it super easy for you to share your recordings with your teammates.
Every Supernormal video now comes with a complete transcript that is ready the moment your recording is done. The transcript is also interactive - click on any word and immediately seek the video to that important moment of your recording. We're thrilled to launch this feature as one of our core principles for remote communication is easy consumption. We find that having a seekable transcript helps your teammates get to the important information faster.
We started Supernormal when my co-founder and I established a fully remote and distributed team across 6 timezones. After working for years at remote companies like Github, we wanted to bring the best of async communication forward to other teams and share our experiences on how to keep communication connected and full of rich emotion, knowledge and joy.
It would mean a lot to us if you tried out the new Supernormal chrome extension here with your team!
