Great news for Supernormal Business and Enterprise customers! You now have more control over what calendar events are recorded and transcribed. If you’re an Admin on an Enterprise or Business plan, this new feature lets you create rules to filter certain meetings from being captured. Rules match the keywords you specify with your organization’s calendar event titles and ensure those events aren’t recorded or transcribed by Supernormal. For example, you could set a rule that any meeting that has “confidential” in the title is not captured. Rules apply to the entire organization and individual preferences won’t override them.

For one-off meetings, all users will continue to have access to the skip@ feature, allowing you to add skip@supernormal to any calendar invite to ensure it’s not captured.

Supernormal Enterprise customers can now set a data retention policy tailored to their team. With this new feature, organization admins on Enterprise plans can specify how long Supernormal should preserve their meeting notes data before deleting it, right from their Organization Settings. Deletion is permanent and unrecoverable so be sure to adjust these settings with care.

We're excited to roll out Notes Deeplinks, a new feature designed to streamline reviewing your notes. 

‍

Your meeting notes provide a detailed summary of the discussion but we know that sometimes you might want to refer to a portion of the transcript for a given note to see exactly what was said. This is where Notes Deeplinks come in. With this new feature, every bullet in your Supernormal summary now sports a clickable timestamp. Hit it, and boom—a side panel reveals the related transcript bit. If your notes include a recording, the video will appear at the top of the panel along with the transcript below. To close the panel, just hit the X icon or the escape key.

It's quick, it's neat, and it's designed to streamline the review process, making it easier for you to revisit your notes. Notes Deeplinks are available to all users starting today.

Calling all Zoom & Teams users! Say goodbye to the all-or-nothing approach. With our latest update, you now have options.

‍

Until now, you've had the option to send a bot to all your meetings or none of them. All or none isn’t the Supernormal way so we’ve added a new option. Now you can also choose to send bots to meetings you own.

You can find the new setting under Zoom & Teams in Account Settings. 

Need to add an action item to your notes? No problem. Now you can create your own tasks right in your meeting notes. 

Just click “Add a task” under the action items section of your notes and type away!  

Tasks that you create can be assigned, checked off, or deleted, just like the ones Supernormal generates for you, and they’ll appear in your collective task list that’s accessible from the main menu.

The SOC 2 audit is one the highest recognized standards of information security compliance in the world. It was developed by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) to allow a third-party auditor to validate a service company’s internal controls with respect to information security. The SOC 2 Audited Report is the auditor’s opinion on how an organization’s security controls meet the SOC 2 criteria.

To obtain our audited SOC 2 Report, a third-party auditor, Johanson Group, reviewed our internal controls including policies, procedures, and infrastructure regarding data security, firewall configurations, change management, logical access, backup and disaster recovery, security incident response, and other critical areas of our business.

Thanks to a company-wide effort and with the help of our friends at Secureframe, we successfully achieved compliance and received an Auditor’s Report demonstrating that our policies, procedures, and infrastructure meet or exceed the SOC 2 criteria.

Starting today, Supernormal Pro users have the ability to choose from three distinct auto-sharing options: "All Meeting Participants," "Internal Participants Only," or "Never Autoshare." With these new sharing settings, users have more control and customization over their note-sharing.

Auto-sharing is strictly opt-in for Pro users and notes are not shared by default. To update sharing settings, Pro users can navigate to their Account settings, access the Preferences tab, and adjust the sharing options found under the Sharing section.

• Now when an organization is over its limit, we share a message to let you know you’ve exceeded your limit. Admins can upgrade the plan by following the instructions inside. 
• When organizations upgrade to a Pro plan, we now automatically backfill notes for all captured meetings without them so you don’t have to manually generate notes for previous meetings.  
• We made infrastructure improvements to our notes pipeline so you reliably get your notes immediately following a meeting, even if it’s during peak meeting times.

Starting today, Tasks appear directly inside your meeting notes so it’s easier to keep track of the work that comes out of meetings and nothing gets missed. 

To access Tasks in your meeting notes, just open your notes and scroll to Action Items where you can manage tasks individually, check them off, or assign them to a teammate, all without leaving your notes. 

All your tasks will continue to appear in your dedicated Task List which is still accessible via the main menu in the Supernormal app, and any changes you make to Tasks in either location will be updated across both.

Starting today, Supernormal integrates seamlessly with Workable. With this new integration, Supernormal automatically generates job interview notes for calls scheduled through Workable and notes are automatically added to candidate scorecards in Workable’s candidate view. 

To enable the integration, Supernormal users can toggle the Workable integration from the Integrations Page in their account settings.

Supernormal is excited to announce a new meeting notes template for job interviews. With the Job Interview Q&A Template, you can format interview notes by the questions asked and the interviewee’s responses so you don’t have to search for answers or try to summarize them. 

The Job Interview Q&A Template is available to all Supernormal Pro users and is accessible from the Templates library in your meeting notes.

Starting today, Supernormal takes your meeting notes in real time. Previously, Supernormal would transcribe a call and summarize it following the meeting. While this method was effective, it created a short delay in delivering your meeting notes. 

With this improvement, Supernormal transcribes and summarizes your meeting as it’s happening so you no longer have to wait a few minutes to receive your notes after a meeting ends. They’re delivered to you immediately!

Supernormal is excited to announce the launch of Templates, a new feature designed to customize your meeting notes, optimizing them for different types of meetings.

With Supernormal’s Library of Templates, you can format your meeting notes based on the type of meeting scenario. Whether it’s a 1/1, a customer discovery meeting, or a team meeting, with templates you can tailor your notes so they're more accurate and actionable. 

Applying a template is easy. Following a call, just open your Supernormal notes and tap Template in the notes menu to access the full library. Choose the template that reflects your meeting and your notes will be reformatted accordingly.

Starting today, when you access your meeting notes, “The Gist” will be displayed at the top, outlining what happened in the meeting in a few short sentences, saving you time and effort reading through your notes when you just need the TLDR. How it works

Once you have installed the Chrome extension and signed in to Supernormal, we will take care of the rest. Supernormal automatically transcribe and take notes for any Google Meet you join. When you leave your meeting, a new browser tab will open with your full transcript and notes.

Can I still record a video?

You certainly can! Just hover over the Supernormal button (it lives in the bottom left corner of your Google Meet) and it will expand with options to record video.

Can I choose to not take notes?

If you have a meeting that you do not want to take notes - no problem! When you hover over the button, you'll also see a Stop button which will deactivate Supernormal for that meeting.

What do I get for notes?

Supernormal AI delivers a summary of the meeting in bullet form. Over the next few weeks we'll be supplementing your notes with more advanced sections including Action Items and Decisions.

Your Zoom account can now automatically sync with Supernormal. Now, your Zoom Cloud Recordings will come with a complete transcript, summary and notes. You'll never have to write notes again for your Zoom recordings.

When you have a scheduled meeting on your calendar and record it with Supernormal, we'll look for external participants that you have in Hubspot. To send your recording and highlights to Hubspot, click on the Hubspot integration in your share menu. It's that simple!

To upload a video to Dropbox, Google Drive, Vimeo,Youtube, etc., or to just save the video as an mp4 locally, you will first have to download the video. Once downloaded, then you can upload it wherever you like.

All you have to do is follow these steps:

2. Select download from the dropdown menu

We'll send you an email when your HD quality MP4 is ready to download. Click on the link in the email and your recording will download immediately.

Since launching 1.0, we've seen a huge surge in average video length. The average supernormal is now longer than 30 minutes and has 4-8 highlights. Video Notes for Google Meet

Run your meeting, we'll take the notes. When you join a Google Meet and start your Supernormal chrome extension, you'll see a new Notes panel. This notes panel comes with a few highlight buttons, Action Item, Insight, and Bookmark. Whenever an important moment happens in your call, just click on a highlight button to add it to your notes. You can either add text to the note or let Supernormal fill in the note with what was just said in the meeting.

The moment your call is done, the full recording, video notes and summary are instantly available.

Our holidays were busy trying to get our new headphones to work with all our video meeting experiences. In the engineering world, we call it System Audio. Groups and individual videos now have controls for whether people have to be signed in to watch or rewatch :) a video. When public sharing is disabled, only members of a group and anyone the video creator invites will be allowed to access the video by URL.

A friend of ours on the Google Design Team has been using Supernormal for design reviews. But he needed the ability to pause the video and add a comment at any point and draw on the screen to highlight and leave rich feedback. Well, Chris, today is your lucky day. Screen annotations are now live on Supernormal.

Sometimes text is just not going to deliver the message. We all know that typing is often a lot slower than just recording a quick video message. Starting today, just tap on the video reply button and drop your thoughts in front of the camera.

Key moments in video notes or recordings need follow up and further discussion. Now you can leave a comment at any point in a video.

1x, 1.2x, 1.5x, 1.7x and our favorite - plaid 2x. Honestly, I don't think we needed 2x in there, but you never know how slow someone might communicate! In a further effort to support faster consumption of important information, we are thrilled to offer faster playback. Get to those juicy parts faster! And to those of you who ramble like I do, ramble freely! Just know that you may end up on 1.5x more often.

One of our most requested features from sales teams and customer facing roles, today we roll out the ability to share directly to an email from inside the Supernormal post. Record your video messages and video notes and send them off to the right inboxes.

If the tree falls and no one is there, does it make a sound? Well, it turns out it does make a sound if you then pass that sound off to a notification channel that your colleagues are glued to. As of today, you can hook up a group to a Slack channel and automatically post any new content from a group directly into Slack. Tree sound problem solved.
